1. Bookings will only be accepted from persons over the age of 18.
  2. The Hirer shall pay a booking deposit to secure the dates required.
  3. Hirers shall pay the balance of the fees due, 7 days prior to the event.
  4. An additional returnable deposit against replacement or repair of any loss or damage may be charged (see Conditions below).  This will be paid with the balance of the booking fee - 7 days prior to the event.
  5. Cancellations - the booking deposit will only be refunded if the Trust can find a replacement booking; if the hall is required as a polling Station, for a Parlimentary or Local Goverment election; or if the building is unfit for use.

Hirer's Responsibilities

  1. Ensure the General Rules, governing the use of the hall are complied with.
  2. Be responsible for the supervision of the premises, protection of the fabric and contents, safety from damage, however slight or change of any sort.
  3. Responsible for the behaviour of all persons using the permises whatever their capacity, including proper supervision of car parking arrangements to avoid obstruction of the highway.
  4. Obtain any licences necessary in connection with the booking, other than those already held by Oaksey Village Hall Trust (OVHT).
  5. Comply with the conditions and regulations made in respect of the premises by the Fire Authority, Local Government Authority, the Local Magistrates Court or otherwise in connection with any event which includes public dancing or music or any other similar public entertainment or stage plays.
  6. Indemnify the OVHT Management Committee for the cost of replacement or repair of any loss or damage done to any part of the property including the curtilage of the building, or the contents which may occur during the period of hiring as a result of the hiring.  An additional returnable deposit may be charged which will be refunded after the event, subject to the deduction of any costs payable under this clause.
  7. Not sub-hire or use the premises for any unlawful purpose or in any unlawful way nor do anything or bring onto the premises anything which may endanger the premises, their users or any insurance policies relating thereto.
